25 years

2012 marks the 25th year in business for Studio 2D.

Twenty-five things I’m going to do to celebrate twenty-five years in business:

  1. Launch a new website √
  2. Design my own New Year’s cards (with matching stamps) √
  3. Start an email newsletter
  4. Become a marketing guru (started, will take a lifetime)
  5. Make a cookie cutter in the shape of my logo (fail)
  6. Have a table at the University of Illinois Webmaster Forum √
  7. Climb 25 routes at Upper Limits (but not all on the same day) √
  8. Release the Stradjectives™ app √
  9. Watch the fifth season of Mad Men √
  10. Get the new book on Saul Bass (designed by his daughter Jennifer Bass) √
  11. Make a typographic portrait of myself √
  12. Participate in CUDO's ABCU √
  13. Join the Indianapolis chapter of AIGA
  14. Be an Ebertfest sponsor
  15. Design a logo for a worthy new business or non-profit, pro bono (Designed the Public Art League map/brochure; they already had a logo) √
  16. Fund a scholarship award in the Parkland Graphic Design Student Show √
  17. Complete the Leadership Illinois program √
  18. Be a CUDO student portfolio reviewer √
  19. Teach Typography at Parkland College spring and fall √
  20. Go to Vienna for Gustav Klimt’s 150th Anniversary √
  21. Subscribe to the Harvard Business Review √
  22. Join the Champaign Chamber of Commerce
  23. Contribute work to Artists Against AIDS
  24. Present at Pecha Kucha
  25. Spend more time with my sketchbook
