2012 marks the 25th year in business for Studio 2D.
Twenty-five things I’m going to do to celebrate twenty-five years in business:
- Launch a new website √
- Design my own New Year’s cards (with matching stamps) √
- Start an email newsletter
- Become a marketing guru (started, will take a lifetime)
- Make a cookie cutter in the shape of my logo (fail)
- Have a table at the University of Illinois Webmaster Forum √
- Climb 25 routes at Upper Limits (but not all on the same day) √
- Release the Stradjectives™ app √
- Watch the fifth season of Mad Men √
- Get the new book on Saul Bass (designed by his daughter Jennifer Bass) √
- Make a typographic portrait of myself √
- Participate in CUDO's ABCU √
- Join the Indianapolis chapter of AIGA
- Be an Ebertfest sponsor
- Design a logo for a worthy new business or non-profit, pro bono (Designed the Public Art League map/brochure; they already had a logo) √
- Fund a scholarship award in the Parkland Graphic Design Student Show √
- Complete the Leadership Illinois program √
- Be a CUDO student portfolio reviewer √
- Teach Typography at Parkland College spring and fall √
- Go to Vienna for Gustav Klimt’s 150th Anniversary √
- Subscribe to the Harvard Business Review √
- Join the Champaign Chamber of Commerce
- Contribute work to Artists Against AIDS
- Present at Pecha Kucha
- Spend more time with my sketchbook
